so. dan was gonna go up to jason's place, like him. nita wanted to go too since jim was gonna go, my dad was gonna go (to play cards/mahjongg--not for the food, like most of us), dan was gonna go, and we weren't throwing any parties with each other:
alice has her own thing
kenni has his own thing w/ his family
jim was gonna go to jason's
dan was gonna go to jason's.
but then dan changed his mind, and we're gonna hot-pot @ his place. on the day of christmas.
i like dan, but his sauce sucks. so we're gonna see what happens. nate still doesn't talk yet. like us two (me+nita) when we were small. we didn't talk till we were past 2yrs old, according to my grandma. so apparently, nate is following suit.
he's very smart though. and yesterday, he stayed up till about 12am w/ us. nita+dad didn't go cause they thought that he was asleep by then, like 99% of the time. but he wasn't, and that didn't change their mind. nita prob wanted to watch korean soaps. she obsessses over them. new thing besides manga.
yesterday, nita went w/ jim+blendi to trump, where his ma now works @ instead of hyatt sofitel. they only went for the food, and immediately came back--b4 3pm, when my rents leave 4 work. they were gonna have nita stay @ jim's since she didn't bring her keys, and we weren't gonna be home. but she came.
there weren't any presents. only for the food. but it was good, according 2 nita. my ma was like, "of course! when jim's ma worked @ hyatt, we weren't in a depression. now we are. so there won't be toys."
the couple of times we did go to hyatt, it was nice. food was okay, toys were okay. we went twice. then they started to limit it to only the children of employees, so we stopped going. it's not like their toys were brilliant anyways.

life: So-So
so much has happened since the last time i blogged!
1. cherry got married!!
cherry's mom didn't really like the guy... he was divorced, shorter then her, and had a kid. all of which i discovered @ ah Moon's wedding. but they got married anyway.
we aren't close, but i went to see the guys steep 新娘.
it was pretty funny. the guys were wimps. they spat out $600 in the end. though we did have to close the doors on them a couple times. it was particularily hard since the storm door had plasic over it to block out the cold. but money got through the mailbox. they kept on wiping the constantly fogged-up door, but they should have written on the condensation instead. which they found out later.
@ ah Moon's wedding, the guys only gave $200, and we had to claw, take off shoes+clothes, and they still wouldn't give the bill up. solid grip in his fist the entire time. Andy fell on top of ppl, we pulled off shoes, tux jackets, and he still wouldn't let it go....!!
2 bad there aren't any videos. so i look crazy right now. but it was fun. i totally forgot about it till my ma talked about how easy these guys were.
so then they finally let them in. after they decided where to hide her, and when they were done fiddling w/ her dress: in the living room, right by the door. but we would stand a in a line, blocking their view. i stood by karen+stephanie.
they had him profess his love for her out loud cause he kept on claiming he didn't know how to sing, and he didn't know any love songs. on top of that, they wanted him to sing it--not is groomsmen to express how determined he is.
so the guys headed into the hallway after they were told that she was in one of the rooms. what they should have done is this: choose how many doors you wan to open. $20/room. if you get it wrong, $50 punishment. i need to remember that. do that on my wedding.
so in the end, i got a bonus $20.
dos-dez. stephanie+karen+allie was there too. surprise surprise! they didn't look much different. they both were casual. allie was all dressed up in a cut little dress...she was cute. they were openly discussing physics extra-cred. i thought i was a geek. not that i can say anything since i stuck to my ma everywhere she went.
and that day was the 1st time i had a lindt chocolate. i mean, in DC i went into a lindt shoppe, but i didn't buy their truffles. the sales didn't push it quite enough, and i didn't try their fee truffle sample they gave me cause i thought that the stuff behind the glass case would be fancier+classier. when i brought it back, no one really gave a damn. i don't even think i ate a piece. just gave it to dan+ivy. that was before they had nate.
that truffle was good! oh-my-god good. so the other day @ tj maxx, nita wanted some. $5/24 pieces. and then later on, yesterday, we saw that @ walgreens+CVS, it was only $3!! i couldn't believe it!! walgreens was cheaper then tj maxx!! so we bought some cause we finished the other bag. and then we found out that it was $3/12 pieces. rip off!! i knew it!
candy canes.
and we went out for candy canes yesterday. it was a total phail. @ jewel's, it's $10/10boxes--$1 for 10 candy canes. but when we went out to buy soda (we were out of coke) i forgot to buy it. nit supposedly only wants this 4 christmas. so we went out to CVS. but they didn't have the traditional ones--they had the candy-flavored ones.
so we went to Domonick's. we went up to the 2nd floor, back donw, went back up cause the guy told us there were supposed to be some sold by the box instead of individually ($0.25/1 cane), and we went back down and left empty handed cause they had some sold by the box, but they were chocolate+mint from hershey's. though nita loves mint, i guess she really wanted peppermint canes.
and later on, we went to Jewel again. and forgot again. cause when we came home, nita was like,"did you guys get the candy canes?" and i smacked my head. we both forgot. again. and again. we're getting old.
2. ivan's month-old party.
tam+sam's new bro, ivan, turned one month old, so they threw a party @ danny's place. danny was still working, so he never sat down to eat w/ us. it was sad.
so we arrived @ 5pm. b4 anyone else. but of corse tam was already there. so we just sat there like bimbos. jim wasn't gonna come till 7pm. 2 hrs to kill till he gets there. kenni wasn't gonna come--he didn't know them. but ironicly, alice came--she didn't have a clue who those ppl were, but jim still brought her. RAN-DOM!
so i ate a couple of those cheese twist crackers. saw a cute 20-ish guy--the grand kid of an old guy. he was ok. white abercrombie shirt. sat in the table behind us.
we saw the baby. not the cutest since he's only a month old. found out this name.
fast-forward. jim comes. with alice. ok. got over it. right next to us by the buffet table away from the kitchen is the kids' table. though only about 20% of the kids sat there--it was only for those who knew each other--vivianne, annie, jason, lilian, ect. so nita, blendi, + alice sat there. i managed to confince jim to sit w. me cause the entire table was only adults. i sat next to angie+her husband. sat w/ ivy, grandpa, angie's parents, and her older sis(?).
the food was nice. took a long time to come out though.
the milk-tea was horrible. WAY too sweet. jim's mango ice was good though. according 2 him. and angie's sis's honeydew was way too sweet too. so they sorta failed in the drinks depot. and it's a big hit considering that they made @ least 20 smoothies.
angie's baby: TYLER!!! @ 1st, when she came, he was asleep. so we didn't bother him. but he woke later on. he. has. HUGE EYES!!!! ALIEN HUGE!! in a cute way. he's so cute!!! he's 4 months old. spoiled already. cause his grandma needs to hold him while he sleeps. once he gets put down, he cries. too late.

so. the kids finished a long time ago cause the kitchen served them first. and they had a better menu then us. dan+jim planned to egg someone for like an entire hour. it was a boiled egg, but they did it anyway. i didn't rat on them cause i thought, "they have no reason to target nita." but they did. successfully.
nita got targeted 3 times. fell for it each time. the entire time, she's like, "you guys ever herd of snow?! or a snowball?!"
horrible aim. both sides. but the guys were winning. no one had gloves. it was dan+jim v. nita. blendi was in and out. poor her.
jim kept bragging about how he steps out in clear view, and yet nita fails to hit him. 6x.
so the guys went back in for a while. i decided to go out w/ jim. they were in a salon by jewel. but jim saw them @ jewel's instead. no one had cash. except jim, who professed he had $25 on him. told nita to jump him. fail. they chaised each other around for a bit. i told blendi+alice, "i don't know them. watch them run into a pyramid of canned soup."
blendi discovered the condom aisle. and discovred that they sold the condoms her dad had. she yelled, "jim!! come over!!"
nita was like, "only blendi would come closer. and actually touch them."
jim came over. blendi was like, "those are the ones dad uses!"
i was like, "how do u kno blendi?"
she was like, "cause! they're right there when you open the drawer!!"
blendi is like that. gives TMI about her parent's sex lives. i don't need to know this!! and u don't either!!
